I’ll approve more once the inevitable “ghost stripes” appear down the middle of the car. They are actually pretty cool flames, though not really my taste, and they indicate and owner who really loves their Miata. Can’t hate on someone that loves their car.

I always suspected that when you go to a new car dealer and see brand new cars with paint stripes and that kind of stuff, those are the cars that got paint damage on the trip from the factory to the dealership, and the stripes are there to distract you from imperfections in the touch-up.
